TAKT ("we", "us", or "our") operates the TAKT Chrome Extension. This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data when you use our Extension.

1. Information Collection and Use

We do not collect any personally identifiable information (PII) from our users.

• Local Storage: TAKT uses chrome.storage.local to store your personal preferences such as color themes, textures, volume levels, and daily usage time for the free tier. This data stays on your local device and is not transmitted to our servers for tracking purposes.
• License Validation: When you activate a license, your license key is sent via a secure Vercel proxy to the Lemon Squeezy API for validation. We store only an encrypted token on your local device to verify your purchase status.

2. Permissions Justification

TAKT requests specific permissions to function correctly:

• Storage: To save your settings and daily usage progress.
• Offscreen: To maintain audio playback and timer accuracy when the extension is not in direct view.
• SidePanel: To provide a persistent interface beside your workspace.
• Alarms: To reset daily usage limits and manage periodic license checks.

3. Data Disclosure

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your data to outside parties. Since we do not collect personal data, there is no data to share.

4. Third-Party Services

We use Lemon Squeezy for payment processing and license management. Their use of your personal information is governed by their own Privacy Policy. We do not have access to your credit card or financial details.

5. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.
