Nimblist ("we", "us", or "our") operates the Nimblist Chrome Extension. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the extension.

1. Information We Collect We do not collect, harvest, or store your personal data on any external servers belonging to us.

• Local Storage Only: The extension uses chrome.storage.local to save your tasks, categories, settings, and UI preferences (such as color themes and typography) directly on your device.
• Google Drive Sync: If you opt-in to use the Cloud Sync feature, your to-do data is securely synced to your personal Google Drive. We utilize the application-specific appDataFolder, meaning the extension only reads and writes the specific sync files it creates, and cannot access your other personal files on Google Drive.

2. Permissions Justification This extension requests only the permissions strictly needed to function:

• sidePanel: Required to display and open the minimal to-do interface seamlessly within Chrome’s Side Panel.
• storage: Required to save your tasks, categories, and aesthetic preferences locally for fast loading and offline use.
• identity: Required to securely authenticate you via OAuth2 solely to obtain an access token for the Google Drive API, enabling seamless task synchronization across your devices.

3. Data Sharing and Selling We do not sell, trade, rent, or transfer user data to third parties. Because your data lives exclusively in your local browser and your personal Google Drive, there is no centralized data for us to share or monetize.

4. Third-Party Services We use the Google Drive API exclusively to provide the core syncing functionality of the app. We do not use third-party analytics, ad networks, remote tracking services, or telemetry of any kind.

5. Data Retention and Control Your data belongs completely to you.

• Stored task and preference data remains on your local browser profile and your Google Drive until you decide to remove it.
• You can securely delete all your data using the "Erase Data" (Factory Reset) feature located in the Danger Zone of the extension's Settings. This action permanently wipes both your local browser storage and the hidden sync data from your Google Drive.
• You can also remove the extension at any time from Chrome to stop all local storage use.

6. Changes to This Privacy Policy We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any update will be posted on this page with a revised “Last Updated” date.
